2 performers, 400 toys and objects in 60 minutes of surreal and very funny mayhem…

“ARM” means both “poor” and “arm” in Flemish.
“ARM” is a visual experience (almost) without text.
“ARM” combines object manipulation with acting - in a happily disturbed manner.

Mireille & Mathieu unpack their paraphernalia at a flea-market. The objects and toys they pick up turn out to be bursting with stories. A truly visual and radical experience with excessive humour revealing present humankind.

What gets Mireille & Mathieu going is their impulsive fantasy. Their style is the result of a ‘cascade of associative imagination,’ making use of very familiar objects… every object you tend to discard and throw in the bin…They are not even trying to be ‘politically correct’ or beautiful, and their merry and regardless object-annihilating mania entitled them as the “punks of puppet theatre”, a nickname they cherish!

“We use every doll and toy you ever dumped, the puppets and objects we play with all come from flea-markets. We try to make a statement about the re-use or recycling of objects in a world where everything is mass-produced to be used only once and be thrown away afterwards. This is the underlying theme of all our performances.”

“This show has something really special about it. It's fantastically funny and unique. It's best described as 60 minutes of mayhem and mystery”. - Manchester Evening News
“Both protagonists deliver first class work with infinite enthusiasm and enormous energy…The world, a flea-market, varied and unsorted, tasteless next to tasteful, valuable next to worthless. Simply great.” - Emder Zeitung
